Auburn Career Center Global Health COPD Data Brief

Description

as the requirements show a lot of information, my job is to finish Data source and methods section. dont have to do the rest but sharing the requirements probably help you to understand.

Your Data Brief should include the following:

  • Introductory paragraph summarizing the public health importance of the topic (i.e. why is this important, what are the health and societal consequences, why do we want to understand differences in this health topic, etc.). This paragraph should orient the audience to the specific reason we need to care about this issue.
  • Four graphics that describe the data. You may need to use both the online data tools or Excel charts to generate your graphics. Each graphic should be accompanied by a text description (bullets of complete sentences or paragraph form). While this may vary depending on topic and data availability, your graphics should generally include:
    • Overall trends (by time)
    • Geographic variation (by city, county, state, country, etc.)
    • Difference in demographics (sex, age, and/or ethnicity, etc.)
    • +1 other meaningful comparison of your choosing
  • One textbox summarizing one “key finding” from each graphic. This should be one clearly marked section at the beginning of the document containing bulleted highlights from the entire document.
  • Concluding paragraph summarizing the overall patterns in the population, how these patterns may vary across different subgroups, and general impact of this information.
  • Definitions section that define key terms used in the report. Note: All acronyms should be defined in this section including well known abbreviations such as CDC, WHO, NIH, PM, CVD, etc.
  • Data source and methods section that describes the original data source and description of the data source, data tools used to generate graphs, and any links to that information. You are welcome to conduct statistical tests, but this is not required. Note: This section must include a link directly to the data source or page from which it can be downloaded.
  • Reference section including all sources used in the Data Brief. Any source utilized should have a in-text citation as well as be listed in this reference section at the end of the document using APA format. Graphics should also cite the data source used to compile the information and/or tools used to generate the graph.
