Physical Education Scenario

1. During your first observation at your clinical placement, the teacher introduces dribbling (hand dribble). The teacher emphasizes the goal of the drill is to dribble without looking at the ball.

Following the initial description and demonstration, the students are paired up for a drill. In this drill, one student is to dribble the ball to the other side of the gym while the partner tries to take it away. As the drill progresses, the teacher notices that all of the students are either losing the ball or totally focusing their vision on it.

Explain 2-3 reasons (with references from the entire semester) why this drill is not an effective drill.
