Field Experience Tip: Arrange to meet with a local teacher in the grade level(s) and subject area(s) you plan to teach in. Find out how they use formative and summative assessments with their students. Ask to see examples of each. What are some tips the teacher has for creating high quality formative and summative assessments?

Provide us with a lesson plan appropriate to the grade level and subject area you plan to teach. This can be a plan you have created on your own, or it can be one created by someone else. If you didn’t create the plan yourself, you need to properly cite the source and give credit to the author of the plan. 

Create a formative assessment for this lesson plan.
