You work at the local Chamber of Commerce as the Director of Economic Development and you have been given a task to create a proposal on how the economy can start to function adequately again after the pandemic. The proposal will be presented to the State Task Force for reopening the economy. You know your local economy thrives on local and global tourism, with the vast number of theme parks and small businesses counting on tourist dollars to survive.

Using Microsoft Word, create an Economic Development Proposal for the upcoming State Task Force meeting. The proposal should cover the following:

What is meant by global and domestic innovation?

Why is the creative economy important to the health of a nation’s, state, and local economies and, in your opinion, what factors account for the increased policy attention given to these creative and innovative sectors?

• What role does creativity play in innovation in contemporary cultural and economic life?
• Provide a recommendation to address the domestic and global innovation needed to boost your local economy.

Do a search online to find some exciting new textile.  You are looking for new advances in textiles such as sensors in garments, spider silk, garments that cool you when hot, and warm you when cool, and GPS systems.  There are so many more examples of new technology in the textile field. 

Find a new, exciting textile, and copy the article into your text.  Since this is a current event article, it must be less than 6 months old.  It should be complete with the source and date of the article. 

Paragraph one -Without plagiarizing the article, write a summary of your article and why it is exciting. 

Paragraph two – Think outside the box, how could you or another fashion designer / product developer use this new textile in a garment?  Include why it is exciting to you, personally, and how you, as a designer could use or market this information.

Instructions:

Consider a recent project that you have worked on. This could be for a company or organization with which you are familiar, or even a personal project such as purchasing a home or planning a family gathering.

Create either a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) of the project or Gantt Chart for planning and scheduling the project. Discuss why you used the type of chart you did.

Determine and document both probabilistic (t0, tp, and tm) and deterministic time estimates. Discuss how you arrived at these time estimates.

Calculate the slack time for each activity. Discuss the ramifications of slack in the CP for the activities and the project as a whole.

1. Develop the network diagram from the probability estimates. Discuss which path you would take and why.
2. For each activity, determine hypothetical costs in a table. Include budgeted costs, percent complete, actual/projected cost, and over/under budget (and total). Discuss the rationale for how you derived these costs.
3. Crash an activity on the Critical Path. Discuss the ramifications of crashing the activity you crashed.
4. Policy:

1. make sure you have the specific number of paragraphs with the specific toulmin elements present in each. Remember, this is an argument, each paragraph contains a specific toulmin element and is positioned for the best emphasis: first paragraph should contain warrants and the claim, the second and third paragraphs should be the support, the fourth paragraph should contain a rebuttal and backing. Backing is just additional warrants.
2. Last bit of advice, do not make this a complaint letter, watch your tone and do not be combative. You must be objective, not emotional. Put the emphasis on your argument with as much detail as you can provide to be as convincing as possible and keep to ONE PAGE ONLY. Business letters should never exceed one page.

This assignment is writing an arguable claim letter using different strategies such as the ones described in the files I will attach. There are also illustrations of how the letter should look, and there is a lecture which describes the assignment as well.

Assignment Details

You are the president of the Local Union 312 Chapter. As the president of the union, you are the chief spokesperson and representative of the Local Union 312 to management.
