TEU Public Health Diabetic Management Research Paper

Description

To Prepare for this Discussion:

  • Determine possible types of      data you will gather for your research
  • Determine possible sources      of that data (e.g., public databases, published research results, surveys,      interviews, etc.)
  • Determine potential ways to      analyze that data
    • The type of data you obtain       and how you analyze those data is often stipulated by the research method       you chose. If, for       example, you chose a quantitative method, you will use statistics (e.g., MANOVA,       logistical regression, etc.) to analyze your data. The statistics you       use will depend on the type of data (nominal, ordinal, interval, or       ratio) and number of variables in your study. If you chose a       qualitative method, your analysis might consist of coding your       interview responses, organizing descriptive information into a story,       creating concepts, or identifying themes.

Note: The inclusion of possible analytical strategies is optional in your Prospectus Form, but it is an important dissertation consideration currently.

Post a brief description of the research method and approach you selected, along with your research question(s). Explain the type of data you plan to use for your dissertation, and how you plan to collect that data. Describe a type of analysis (t-tests, ANOVA, Chi-square, open coding, concept analysis, etc.) you might use to analyze your data and explain the reason(s) for your selection. Be specific and support your selections with references to the literature.

Research Question(s) and Hypotheses

Grand Canyon University Telehealth Care Discussion Response

Description

please respond to the following discussion post as a peer making a comment. The pandemic forced a pivotal change in how health care providers deliver care to patients. Telehealth evolved from phone calls and email exchanges to live video virtual visits where doctors can perform virtual examinations. Using various communication tools like health system apps, patient portals, and website chats, providers can communicate with patients. Telehealth also enhances provider-to-provider communications and can take place over the telephone, video, apps, and chatbots.

Telehealth providers can exchange information seamlessly by sending recordings, diagnoses emails, and updating healthcare systems and charts. This makes information available for providers on any shift or time zone when they need it. Seeing a specialist via telemedicine could lead to better communication between the referring physician and the consultant and result in more cost-effective care (Eagen, 2021).

Servant leadership emphasizes that leaders be attentive to the concerns of their followers, empathize with them, and nurture them. The use of telehealth which sometimes misses or overlooks body language typically used in interaction is enhanced by the empathetic and patient-focused attitude developed in the servant leadership environment. This challenge also provided an opportunity for the patient and provider to build rapport as they work together within the telehealth environment (Pan et al., 2008).

The Impact of Policy in Solving Problems in Healthcare Organization Report

Description

Policy gets updated annually in most healthcare organizations. This is due to several reasons. Policy is a course or principle of action adopted or proposed by a government, party, business, or individual. These courses are anything but permanent. A great deal of a healthcare administrator’s attention is devoted to the updating, implementation, and development of new departmental and organizational policy based on local, state, federal, and global standards.

Your task for this Individual Project (IP) is to write a paper covering why policies are added, changed, or updated.

Explore the following articles on healthcare policy in detail for perspective for your paper:

Based on the information provided in the course and your own independent research, write a paper that addresses the following:

  • What can happen if policy is not analyzed and updated on a regular basis?
  • Provide an example of how a policy implemented to improve something may cause harm to individuals.
  • What do you see as critical changes that will need to be made in terms of health policy in the United States?
  • What resources can you use to develop new policies?
