An important role of nursing is to provide health promotion and disease prevention. Review the topics and related objectives provided on the Healthy People 2030 website. Choose a topic of interest that you would like to address, in conjunction with a population at-risk for the associated topic. Submit the topic and associated group to your instructor for approval

1. Identify interdisciplinary health professionals important to include in the health promotion. What is their role? Why is their involvement significant?

• Analyze the burden of disease from one low-income/developing country using various health indicators to support your content. Choose from World Bank’s 2020 List of Low-Income Countries.

• Applying this data, determine whether this country is experiencing an epidemiologic transition, factoring in evidence for communicable and noncommunicable diseases. Include potential ramifications from your findings.

• Evaluate demographic data for this country, over at least the last decade (preferably longer if data are available) to determine whether it is experiencing a demographic transition. Include potential ramifications from your findings.

1. Complete an online search pertaining to one of the following areas:

b. Immunization Schedules and Requirements
c. FloridaKidCare/Health Insurance
2. Describe an area of concern that can be evaluated using Florida Charts (e.g.,
immunization schedules, mortality rates, etc.).  
3. Compare and contrast your findings as they pertain to any two counties in the state of
Florida.
4. Compile your research findings and complete a two-page synopsis of those findings.
5. Provide a summarization of your thoughts as they pertain to your findings.
