Description

Case Study 4: Sexual Assault/Rape. The case study is about a lesbian couple living together. One of them called against the partner for rape (domestic violence). When the human servicer professional practitioner (HSPP) got there, she witnessed a dirty house with rodents dropping in site and a child that appeared to be very small for his age.

The biological mother and her three children have tried to decrease upsetting them by letting her partner abuse her in the evening, and early morning, so the children won’t see or hear the abuse. The mother of three left but came back because the abuser promised to change. The six-year-old middle child had become unhappy after a recent physical confrontation that sent the biological mom to the hospital for a few days due to being sodomized by the abuser.

The abuser speaks to the police and HSPP and does not allow the victim to speak. So now the police and the worker want s to talk to the victim alone. Strayer University Mt Sinai Hospital Product Development Paper

Description

Health services continue to affect the gross domestic product, and this dramatic transformation has great demands on each dollar spent to deliver patient-centered products. Health care marketing must be repeatedly applied and practiced strategically to include environmental dimensions, such as technology, socioeconomics, competition, and regulatory.

In today’s global economy, investors and potential entrepreneurs must tap into the so-called “unexplored” market. In this aspect, health care establishments must use marketing, advertising, as well as sales strategies when pursuing new customers. For example, suppose a health care investor wanted to build a small hospital in a rural community—this would entail exploration and logistical experimentation to determine who will patronize the facility. In an impoverished neighborhood, the feasibility of having lucrative profits may see diminishing returns, and so the venture may be not worth the effort. Also, suppose that the potential investor wants to sell mosquito deterrents (such as bedside netting in malaria-infested regions of Asia or Africa). In that case, it would be wise to investigate the number of beds that are in the village, and who would be willing to purchase them. These activities consider the investor portfolio, as well as the feasibility of marketing and selling the product. Such exploration also examines competitors, cultural differences, and—most important—identification of the customer.

Using the health care organization you identified in the learning activity last week, determine its product development practices. Use the concepts from previous weeks to substantiate information, as needed. You may develop the discussion based on the ideas presented here, but feel free to inject any relevant marketing strategy that you believe might support your presentation.

Write a 3–4 page paper in which you:

  1. Justify the purpose of the selected health care establishments’ product(s) / service (s) and their associated life cycle(s).
  2. Suggest one strategy to improve the marketing mix of the selected health care establishment. Support your strategy by highlighting one benefit of portfolio analysis and providing two examples that display differential advantages.
  3. Discuss the impact of possible economic decline on product-market expansion and how it can affect business planning based on global operating environment.
  4. Assess the importance of technology in providing patients with clear and accessible information about health care organizations and the product(s)/service(s) that they provide.
  5. Use 3–4 sources to support your writing. Choose sources that are credible, relevant, and appropriate. Cite each source listed on your source page at least one time within your assignment. For help with research, writing, and citation, access the library or review library guides.

This course requires the use of Strayer Writing Standards. For assistance and information, please refer to the Strayer Writing Standards link in the left-hand menu of your course. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.

The specific course learning outcome associated with this assignment is:

  • Propose product development strategies for a health care organization that impact the marketing mix, the use of technology, and marketing research.

  3. A detailed rationale, PARAGRAPH FORMAT, for the location of EVERY position within the organizational chart. In other words, why would each position report to whomever they report and why would they have someone reporting to them or why do you have supervisory chain of command arranged in the way that you have chosen in your organizational chart.

Miami Dade College Misen Digital Marketing Discussion

Description

Prescription drugs in nursing facilities can prolong life. Many of the elderly patients are put in hospitals or nursing homes due to their chronic illnesses that may require a higher level of care. Many times, this issue could be a reason why patient-nurse ratio is so poor. Being a licensed professional healthcare worker, we need to provide the most adequate safety measurements when caring for older patients or any patient. Working in a Med surg floor in a small rural hospital, many of the patients admitted are either older than 65 years of age or come from a nursing home facility needing higher care. Many of these patients have multiple chronic illnesses causing them and the family stress due to the fact that they are unable to care for themselves. Determining the patient’s level of consciousness and/or mental stability, will determine if they are able to make medical decisions during end of life care. If the patient is alert and orientated to the situation, then this fact would be an example of them being able to make their own decision. However, if the patient cannot make decision base on their condition, then the next of kin or the medical power of attorney will be liable for the decision. Either way, all these documents will need to be filled in the patient’s information during every hospital or nursing home stay.

The rich nations have been supporting for a while to reduce the poverty levels in such situations such as household income, living situations including food and shelter. Rich countries achieve these gains in a way that avoids becoming homeless or sick from starvation. The nation of Israel focuses on widows, orphans, and the poor. Donations were raised very early for these people. Christians are under the nation of Abraham with the same concerns for the poor, orphans, and widows.

The United States has tried to help poor countries with humanitarian aid that can vary from medical supplies to emergency aid in disasters. There are many humanitarian aid workers in the United States who can stand up. However, would you consider the United States of America to be considered rich when they are one of the top countries that have the highest debt rates? Another example can be the structure of slavery. This idea can be identified as the lack of appropriate clothing when looking for a job, lack of medical coverage, paying for education, or the deprived sense of humanity. It is all a battle to be consider a form of poverty, but many rich nations have established ways to bring together opportunities to offer livelihood to citizens of these nations and making them self-sufficient.
