SDSU Classroom Layout Discussion

Question Description

I’m working on a art question and need support to help me learn.

I want you to think about how you would design a preschool classroom and what you would include within the environment. When describing your design to your groupmates also support it with reference to the text readings, the ECERS tool or the DRDP tool that you were made aware of in the Learning Environment informational page previous to this discussion board. Discuss what the aesthetics (visual view) would include and what physical features you will have to help in the design of your room. Describe the vibe you want your room to have and how you intend to accomplish that vibe. Discuss the layout and why you would have that layout. Lastly, discuss what areas or content space you will provide children in the environment you design. Use this as a discussion to determine what design aspects are necessary and what aspects are adapted to the community in which the care facility is in.

THEO 405 PU The United States Provide Opportunities for Everyone Discussion

Description

Applying a Theological Lens
Racism always takes concrete, embodied forms. Using the conceptual framework provided by
Jennings and Katongole, analyze the form of racism you see in our broader society today that
you explored in Step 2. Quote and cite each author at least once for this part.
For instance, you might ask the following questions: How does the historical lineage that
Jennings describes about racial value correspond with how we treat black men in the prison
system today? How does Jennings understanding of race and place influence the way we do
church from a racial perspective? How might Katongole’s understanding of the role of greeting
transform the way we inhabit our neighborhoods and communities in ways that turn racial
dynamics on their head?
Next, offer two concrete things you (personally) can do, drawing on Jennings
and Katongole, that show how a rightly formed Christian imagination can help inform Christian
practice in the world. Stated differently, use Katongole and Jennings to show how you can work
for Shalom in the parts of our society broken by racism.

PPS College PPS College Week 13 A Letter to the Future Activity

Question Description

I’m working on a philosophy discussion question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.

IWA Week 13: A Letter to the Future

Prompt:

Imagine that you have been tasked to write a letter to someone in the future, someone who finds him or herself in Fort Worth in the year 3000. Your job is to describe for this person what you think an ethical response is to the people migrating through South America in hopes of finding asylum in the United States. Here is one news story in case you are not familiar with this current situation: https://www.pbs.org/newshour/show/caravan-members-flee-poverty-corruption-at-home

In this letter, I want you to address two separate responses: one is what you think the US government response should be and the second is one of you as an individual situated in the US and aware of these people making their way toward our border.

In order to consider what ethical responses should be, you should identify at least two ethical theories we have studied this semester, including references to Peter Singer and his applied ethics.

The Impressions of Perfume and The Cannibals Discussion

Description

Please make sure you post your impressions of Perfume and respond to your classmates in your group.  I’d like to begin this final lesson by covering four points or topics regarding Suskind’s Perfume. One topic that I’ve chosen to stay silent on is the final scene since may not have made it to the end of the novel yet. I’ll call this final scene “the spectacle.” I’ll leave that up to you to “flesh out” later. Anyhow, the four topics are:  Grenouille as an Outcast; The murders as a response to the “trauma”; The cave episode and the historical parallels/coincidences; and the way in which, arguably, Grenouille embodies the “revolutionary spirit.” Grenouille as an Outcast: Grenouille remains an outcast his entire childhood. Part of the reason for this is because he has never been loved; in other words, he does not know what love means since he never received any. Therefore, it’s easy to understand why he might understand “hate” better, and confines himself in dark, sinister thoughts. As we read in chapter 23:

New York University Platform Capitalism Social Science Essay

Topics covered will include:

Platform Capitalism

The Quantified Self

Gamification

Gaming Data & Metrics

  • Hacker Theory
  • Data Feminism
  • What does ‘platform capitalism’ tell us about data culture today? Choose three platforms to analyse and give evidence to your argument.
  • Is the ‘quantified self’ movement the ultimate expression of neoliberal subjectivity? Why? Why not? Argue your case with evidence.
  • Is privacy a human right or a commodity? Your answer should consider explicit and inexplicit data collection in our lives today.
  • Gamification has been described as a positive way of engaging groups of people, yet it has also been critiqued as a new form of surveillance. Argue your case with reference to education, shopping, or workplaces.

In 2015, Evgeny Morozov described platform capitalists as “parasitic: feeding off existing social and economic relations”. Is the negativity of this view justified?

  • Why does data science need feminism?

Does hacker subculture contribute to social progress? Answer with reference to hacker ethics.
