Research Topic: Effectiveness of ABA Therapy

Part 1: Explaining your selection for your area of research.

Write 3-5pages addressing the following areas:

1. Value of the literature review for your selected area of research

2. Other types of literature with studies similar to what you wantto do (e.g., trade journals).

Applying a Theological Lens
Racism always takes concrete, embodied forms. Using the conceptual framework provided by
Jennings and Katongole, analyze the form of racism you see in our broader society today that
you explored in Step 2. Quote and cite each author at least once for this part.
For instance, you might ask the following questions: How does the historical lineage that
Jennings describes about racial value correspond with how we treat black men in the prison
system today? How does Jennings understanding of race and place influence the way we do
church from a racial perspective? How might Katongole’s understanding of the role of greeting
transform the way we inhabit our neighborhoods and communities in ways that turn racial
dynamics on their head?
Next, offer two concrete things you (personally) can do, drawing on Jennings
and Katongole, that show how a rightly formed Christian imagination can help inform Christian
practice in the world. Stated differently, use Katongole and Jennings to show how you can work
for Shalom in the parts of our society broken by racism. 

Please make sure you post your impressions of Perfume and respond to your classmates in your group.  I’d like to begin this final lesson by covering four points or topics regarding Suskind’s Perfume. One topic that I’ve chosen to stay silent on is the final scene since may not have made it to the end of the novel yet. I’ll call this final scene “the spectacle.” I’ll leave that up to you to “flesh out” later. Anyhow, the four topics are:  Grenouille as an Outcast; The murders as a response to the “trauma”; The cave episode and the historical parallels/coincidences; and the way in which, arguably, Grenouille embodies the “revolutionary spirit.” Grenouille as an Outcast: Grenouille remains an outcast his entire childhood. Part of the reason for this is because he has never been loved; in other words, he does not know what love means since he never received any. Therefore, it’s easy to understand why he might understand “hate” better, and confines himself in dark, sinister thoughts. As we read in chapter 23:

– Why use the bootstrapping routine for significance testing? Explain the algorithm options and parameters you need to select.

Also, Must evaluate the Son et al (2020) article with respect to its design and execution. Be sure to answer the following questions:

-Was the research design the correct one to use?

-Was it executed well?

-Were the analyses, especially repeated measures MANOVA, the correct choices?

-What would be the first change to make to improve the research if one were to do a replication of the study?
