The elements of Poetry help readers understand poetry on a structural level. When a reader approaches a poem using the elements of Poetry, the nuances can become clear. For example, when a writer uses imagery in writing a poem, this can make a part of the poem clearer. If a writer uses certain wording, this can also help for deeper understanding. This assignment will help you analyze poetry using some of the elements discussed in Chapter 6.

Instructions:

1. Read the following poems: “Death, be not proud”, “Because I Could not Stop for Death”, “Dover Beach”, and “The Road Not Taken”

2. Analyze each play for 3 elements of poetry, and write 1 paragraph of your analysis for each poem.

1. Develop an effective argument research essay (800 plus words) about the research topic that you have chosen.
2. Format your paper according to MLA style (Links to an external site.).
3. Create an interesting title that captures the interest of your reader and focuses your essay.
4. Begin with a strong introduction that engages your reader and provides a clear thesis at the end of the introduction.
5. Develop at least three support paragraphs about your perspective.
6. Include refutation of another perspective in a separate paragraph or within your support paragraphs.
7. Use evidence from at least FIVE sources to support your opinions and your refutation.
8. End with a strong conclusion that restates your thesis in a different wording and sums up what the reader should take away from the essay.

Step 1 Select a classification assignment.

• Classify and describe one of the following categories of people: gumchewers, doughnut eaters, cell-phone users, complainers, speakers,grocery shoppers. You may choose your own topic if your instructorapproves it.
• Discuss the kinds of problems that can ruin a relationship. It is upto you to decide what the relationship is a romance, a friendship, amarriage, a student-teacher relationship, a relationship with acoworker, or a relationship with a neighbor. Choose the type ofrelationship that you wish to discuss, then classify the types ofproblems that might ruin it.
• Classify one of the following items having to do with classes:assignments, tests, desks, schedules, professors, textbooks, classmates,note-takers.
• Categorize one of these types of people: pet owners, parents,drivers, neighbors, dates, sports fans, friends, coworkers, teachers,classmates.

Step 2 Write an essay.

Write a two-page (500-word) classification essay based on the topic you selected.

Write a three to four page paper that includes the PICOT statement, summarizes three research articles, and discusses how implementing the evidence based practice could improve the situation. The paper will be written using 7th ed. APA format and Times New Roman font 12pt. A properly formatted cover page is required. However, an abstract is not needed.                      

Find three peer-reviewed research articles from Nursing Journals that address ways to correct or improve the issue using evidence based practice. The articles must be within the last 5 years and must be actual research articles, not editorials or summaries of articles.

Explain how the condition of formerly enslaved people in the United States compared with that of freedpeople around the globe by 1877 – then make a connection between the era of Reconstruction to the current Black Lives Matter movement in the United States. 

You must use information from chapter 15 of “Give Me Liberty” for the historical portion of the essay. You may use your choice of reliable source or sources for information on the Black Lives Matter movement but you must cite your sources.

**You must do more than summarize the readings. Your answer should demonstrate critical thinking and analysis. It should be thorough and focused and must directly address the essay prompt.**
