SPECIAL OCCASION SPEECH ASSIGNMENT:

Choose to deliver a Eulogy OR an Acceptance Speech

1. Acceptance Speech Instructions: 

The purpose delivering an acceptance speech is for the speaker to accept an award with dignity, grace and sincerity. This speech should be four to five minutes in length and given without notes. The speaker is to acknowledge those who helped him or her and recognize the importance and work of the presenting organization. Please also submit an outline for this speech (instructions in BB). No sources needed for this particular outline. You must also use a prop to represent the “award” you are accepting. For example, if you are accepting a Grammy for Best Album of the Year, perhaps you’ll hold a CD (if you have one of those) or a microphone as the trophy. 

Please remember to acknowledge the “presenting organization.”Be as creative as you’d like with this speech. You can create your own award—or accept the more known academy award, emmy, grammy, etc..
