DHS 4426 ISU Target Audience Discussion

These are the directions below: 

Find an advertisement for a prescription or over-the-counter drug (or a nutraceutical or even a medical device, if you like). The ad can be a YouTube or other video or in print (you will need to scan a copy). Either way, post a link to it or find a PDF of the ad itself and post it so that other students in your group can view it. 

Part 1: Please post the ad you found and comment on it by answering the following questions (15 points):

a) Who is the target audience for the ad? (2 pts)
b) What emotions are trying to be elicited with the ad? (3 pts)
c) Using an online drug information resource (one of the ones I mentioned in lecture), list major indications, contraindications, and warnings about this drug. Be sure to include the reference link you used, such as Drugs.com, Medline, Rxlist.com, MICROMEDEX, etc. (5 pts)
d) Discuss whether you think sufficient information was provided by the ad. Why or why not? (A few sentences should be sufficient.) (5 pts)
