Description

After the class presentation, each group of students will submit a 500 word critical summary of one of the required readings that clearly defines the author’s argument, methodological approach and evidence provided to support their argument. Both the in-class presentation and the subsequent written reflection will be equally assessed in terms of students’ ability to 1. Identify and explain the key points of the chosen reading 2. Apply these points and concepts to specific examples from media culture 3. Critique and/or expand the arguments in the reading, taking into account different cultural, temporal and/or disciplinary contexts.
