I’m working on a psychology discussion question and need a sample draft to help me learn.

Brain development continues through adolescence and into the mid-20s. Research indicates that the prefrontal cortices, which are critically involved in judgment, impulse control, and social behavior, are not fully developed in teenagers. 

Given the incomplete brain development, do you think that teenagers fit the legal definition of “impaired” and should be treated as such in the courts? Why or why not?
