Flashback back to the first time you saw the attached video on empathy. Reflect on a patient(s) clinical scenario that impacted you the most. Rewatch the scenario with close attention to details. Discuss how the patient(s)/scenario made you feel as a future APRN, and provide health promotion and/or health prevention(s) that are relevant to the patient(s)/scenario. Does the scenario involve vulnerable or marginalized populations? Consider health literacy and culturally competent care.
Describe how an APRN can use community action, advocacy, and policy to help further improve the selected patient(s)/scenario.
Note, it is okay if multiple people select the same scenario; rather, pick a scenario that individually speaks to you as a nurse/person.In addition to any relevant textbook readings, provide one current (within 5 years) peer-reviewed article/scholarly source that supports the content.
