United States & Terrorism Discussion

Question Description

I’m working on a international law question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.

There are more stateless terrorists than you might think — al Qaeda and GreenPeace both fit definitions for stateless terrorist organizations.

Identify an insurgency (internal or global) that became active prior to 1990. Give a brief description of it and of the counterinsurgency effort used by the lead government to counter it. What were the primary strategy elements for both the insurgency and the counterinsurgency? Which elements were successful? How might this translate into an organic or global insurgency acting against the United States?
